Recycle Resoles

Quality resoling for your favorite climbing shoes

Save your sole!

1/2 Soles

Rather than throw away your expensive climbing shoes once they wear out, we can help you give them new life. We replace the rubber on the front half of the soles and give them a shiny new edge.

Rands / Toe Caps

The rubber on the top part of your toes are called rands or toe caps. If you can see a hole or feel a weak spot in the rand, we’ll need to repair it. Send your shoes in early to help them live longer and save some money!

Get a resole!

Recycle Resoles is now operating out of Atlanta. If you are in the area and want to drop off your shoes, visit our sister site www.peachcobbleratl.com for the hookup.

Send your shoes to:

Recycle Resoles
1230 Beechview Drive SE

We recommend USPS but check your local prices. If you have a tracking number, please send it to us at (443) 7-PEACHY or orders@peachcobbleratl.com so we know when to expect your shoes.

Shout-Outs

There are a lot of people who work very hard to open, develop, and maintain climbing areas. These people provide a tremendous service to our community and we encourage you to help out your local climbing organization(s).

As a small token of appreciation, we donate $1 from every pair of shoes we work on to the Access Fund. There are lots of organizations that deserve our thanks, but these guys operate all around the country. (For Atlanta drop offs, we donate to the Southeastern Climbers Coalition!)

FAQ

If you have holes, you need rands. Less obviously, if you can feel weak spots in the rubber around the toe, a hole might be near. Sometimes we won’t know until we remove the old sole. If that happens, we’ll let you know as soon as we find the damage.
No, because the rand wraps around under the sole.
Yes, absolutely! If you send us your no-edge shoes, you’ll get a no-edge repair.
You should send your shoes in before the rand starts to rub against the wall. When the rand touches the wall, it wears out quickly and turns into a hole. Start thinking about a resole when the sole wears lower and more of the rand begins to show.
Probably about two or three times, as long as the material under the rubber is in good shape. The actual number of resoles you can get depends on how well you care for your shoes and on how and how many times your shoes have been repaired in the past (e.g., rand repairs tend to shorten the lifespan of your shoes).
Maybe. If you have serious damage on your shoes (major holes, etc.) or if your shoes have been resoled many times already, we may not be able to help you. If you aren’t sure, send some pictures to ben@peachcobbleratl.com or (443) 7-PEACHY. We’ll take a look and let you know if we think we can fix them.
  • Keep them in a cool and dry place.
  • Air them out after you climb in them. (Don’t store them in plastic bags!)
  • Don’t belay or walk around in them too much.
  • Get them resoled before you damage the rands.
The most common problem with resoled shoes is delamination where the sole starts to peel back around the edges. If this happens in the first 30 days, you can send your shoes back in. If you’re not happy with our work, we’ll make it right.
